Mohammad Yasir Khan is an investment professional with over 15 years of experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Principal Investments, and Corporate Strategy. During his career, Yasir has sucessfully closed over 40 transactions with aggregate deal credentials exceeding USD 2.5 billion. He is currently working with Acumen Fund Inc. as an Investments Lead, developing a Pakistan focused climate adaptation fund.

Prior to joining Acumen in 2025, Yasir spent seven years at Engro in various senior roles spanning across Corporate Strategy, M&A, Investments, Finance, and Board Governance. In his last role at Engro, he served as the Vice President – Company Secretary & Head of Board Secretariat for Engro Corporation.

During his time at Engro, Yasir evaluated and led multiple portfolio actions and projects including the formation and growth of Engro Enfrashare, buyback of Engro Corporation shares, restructuring of Engro Corporation and DH Corporation, and acquisition of Jazz’s telecom towers portfolio by Engro Connect. In addition to his primary roles at Engro, Yasir also served as Secretary to the Board Investment Committee and Secretary to the Steering Committee for Capital Allocation & Projects at Engro Corporation from 2020 to 2023. He was also made a member of the Engro ExCom in 2024.

Earlier in his career, Yasir worked at Bank Alfalah in the Capital Markets Division (Treasury & FIs Group) from 2016 to 2018 where he managed M&A and ECM Advisory, Principal Investments, Public Equities and Investor Relations. Prior to joining Bank Alfalah, Yasir worked at AKD Securities in the Investment Banking Division and advised corporates on equity listings, M&As, secondary offerings, business restructurings, and capital raising transactions.

He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Engro Connect and Engro Enfrashare, and has previously served on the boards of Engro Powergen Qadirpur, Engro Powergen Thar, and Engro Energy Services.

Yasir holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Management. He is also a certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
